ABOUT US
IGA: 32 years of passion, ideas and research in the field of cremation urns… and we are still there with the desire to create. All our cremation urns have taken shape in an extraordinary setting, surrounded by wonderful designs and colors, and have travelled, both near and far, around Europe and the world.
Our wide collection of urns has grown to meet the needs of many different tastes as more and more people choose to be cremated.
Some people choose an urn that matches the personality of their loved one. While Others choose an urn based on the materials like brass, aluminium, bronze, stainless steel etc…
WHAT IS A URN
A cremation urn is a vessel for ashes that has a long history, originating with ancient burial customs in China, Greece, and Rome and evolving through various cultures and eras. The practice of collecting ashes in urns, particularly from a late Bronze Age phenomenon known as the Urn-field culture, continued into early Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods before becoming less common with the rise of Christianity.
When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.
Urns By Material:
Metal
Brass, bronze, aluminium, and stainless steel offer high durability and resistance to corrosion, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Wood
Hardwoods like oak, cherry, and mahogany provide a warm, classic aesthetic but are organic and can degrade over time.
Ceramic
These are durable when sealed with a glaze, but their fragile nature means they are best for indoor placement where they won’t be dropped.
Urns By Size and Use:
Standard Urns
Designed to hold the ashes of one adult, typically around 200-250 cubic inches.
Companion Urns
Larger urns designed to hold the remains of two people together.
Keepsake Urns
Smaller urns for sharing cremains, allowing multiple family members to keep a small portion of the ashes.
Urns By Style & Aesthetics:
Decorative Urns
Designed as ornaments to be displayed in the home, often with ornate finishes.
Themed Urns
Feature designs related to specific interests, religious symbols, or veteran symbolism.
Engraved Urns
Can be personalized with names, dates, or other memorial messages.
